Staffers at four San Francisco hotels start 2-week strike.

Sep. 30--SAN FRANCISCO -- Workers at four major hotels here launched a two-week strike Wednesday, an action liable to trigger an employer lockout at 10 more hotels and deliver a blow to the city's just-recovering hospitality industry.
Hundreds of workers manned picket lines at the Hilton, Intercontinental Mark Hopkins, Crown Plaza Union Square and Argent hotels, carrying signs that said "Justice for Hotel Workers" and chanting, "Don't check in, check out."
