EDITORIAL: Chairman lacks credibility, skill to fix British rail firm Jarvis.

Sep. 29--Jarvis is crumbling before the eyes of its high-voltage chairman Steve Norris. For the company to claim that its chief executive Kevin Hyde left by "mutual consent" insults the intelligence of investors.
In addition to the scandal of bonus payments to executives running the company at the time of the Potters Bar rail disaster, Jarvis is simply failing to deliver on all fronts.
In the last week alone there have been rows with Lancaster University, Gateshead Council and Norfolk County Council about contracts that have gone wrong.
It certainly was an "appropriate moment" for Hyde to step down. Indeed, there is a strong case for the company legally to challenge any...
