RadioShack now in charge of wireless phone kiosks at Sam's Club.

Oct. 5--FORT WORTH, Texas -- RadioShack has taken over the wireless phone kiosks at 542 Sam's Club warehouse stores, giving the electronics chain instant access to a $150 million-a-year business and opening up a new source of potential earnings growth.

Sam's Club previously contracted out the kiosks to Wireless Retail, a privately held company based in Arizona. RadioShack agreed to buy the company's assets, including kiosk fixtures and a Mississippi distribution center, and will add Wireless Retail's 1,900 employees to RadioShack's staff of 35,000.
