West Coast Bank opens branch in Clark County, Wash.

Oct. 5--Competition in Clark County's banking market grew stiffer today as West Coast Bank opens an Orchards branch in a corner of the county ripe for more growth.
The latest branch for the Lake Oswego, Ore.-based financial institution forms a geographic triangle with its operations in Salmon Creek and in downtown Vancouver. It also promotes West Coast's prime focus on organic growth.
"The bank's strategy has been to focus on the Portland, Vancouver markets," West Coast president and chief executive officer Bob Sznewajs said in a previous interview.
