Sony starts accepting orders for new version of robot dog Aibo.

Oct. 6--TOKYO -- Sony Marketing (Japan) Inc. said Wednesday it has begun accepting orders online for a new version of the robot dog Aibo, featuring software that allows it to be remotely controlled via a personal computer.
The Aibo ERS-7M2 carries a suggested retail price of 194,250 yen, the same as for its predecessor ERS-7, and comes in pearl white and pearl black.
Among other features, the ERS-7M2 automatically detects moving objects and photographs them for reproduction on a PC.
Sony Marketing will start delivering the robot to buyers at the end of October.
