Peculiar, Mo., Aquila discuss power plant.

Oct. 7--Aquila Inc. says it is looking at another site for a 315-megawatt power plant, this one near Peculiar.
The company had been considering a site near Harrisonville, but that proposal met opposition, especially from residents who would have lived near the plant. The Harrisonville site has not been officially dropped, but Peculiar and Aquila officials said they were in serious talks.
Peculiar officials say the plant over the years would bring millions of tax dollars to the city, Cass County and the Raymore-Peculiar R-II School District.
