Ogden, Utah, runner retains his title as nation's fastest corporate executive.

Oct. 9--Mike Spence came to Ogden last year to train for steeplechasing under world renowned coach Chick Hislop, who also happens to be the Weber State University track and field coach.

Spence, a 26-year-old New Jersey native and former All-American in cross country at Princeton University, said the things Hislop taught him over the past year helped him become more than just the first American to finish in the 2004 JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge race on Oct. 2.

"I've learned so much from him in the past year about dedicating attention to details," he said. "Any facet of life or work that you apply that to will yield tremendous dividends."
