United Technologies, chairman are honored for corporate giving.

Oct. 12--United Technologies Corp. and its chairman, George David, were honored Monday night by a group founded by Mikhail Gorbachev for a corporate giving program to promote environmentally friendly buildings in urban centers.
David was slated to attend a gala in New York sponsored by the group, Global Green USA, and its parent organization, Green Cross International.
Gorbachev, the last president of the Soviet Union, also was among those to be honored at the event.
Gorbachev founded Green Cross in 1993 to promote the idea that a sustainable environment is integral to global security.
