Apple introduces 30-inch PC monitor, largest in Japan.

Oct. 12--TOKYO -- Apple Computer Inc. of the United States introduced to the market Tuesday a 30-inch liquid crystal display for personal computers, which is the largest in Japan.
The Apple Cinema HD display, which has already been rolled out in the U.S. market, is high-definition with 4.09 million pixels. It is priced at 398,790 yen including tax, but Apple said it will only sell the display together with a card for image processing which costs 72,240 yen.
Dell Inc. and Sharp Corp. have launched 26-inch LCDs for PC monitors in the Japanese market. Large-size monitors are aimed at users who play DVDs and watch TV on their computers.
