Oct. 13--HINES TO PLACE BET ON WESTWOOD OF LISLE: In a bet that the suburban leasing market will improve, Hines Interests LP has a contract to buy the Westwood of Lisle office complex in a deal worth roughly $45 million.
Although the agreement is not yet binding, the price is about $154 a square foot for the 296,000-square-foot development, sources said.
The two buildings, which are the same size, are a study in contrasts. One built in 1997, at 2443 Warrenville Rd., has 8.2 percent of its space available, according to real estate research firm CoStar Group. The other, built six years earlier, has nearly 58 percent of its space available.
