Oct. 14--David Payne, 38, has been in the plumbing business for almost 20 years. He learned the trade from his brother, who operates a plumbing business in the North County.
Payne, who has worked for Drain Doctors Plumbing in San Luis Obispo for 13 years, bought the business two years ago. He serves customers from Cayucos to Arroyo Grande.
Typical jobs include drain cleaning, water heater replacement, fixing sewer leaks and water leaks in walls, and replacing water lines in attics and under houses.
