Oct. 16--FORT WORTH, Texas -- The unemployed and underemployed crowded into a hotel salon for a job fair Friday carried an assortment of credentials: Telecom executive with a five-page resume, Central American war mercenary with newspaper clips, mechanical engineer and self-described cowgirl.
And Halliburton Co., the defense contractor and energy services giant, may just well find them the job they're seeking at a salary that could streak into the six-figure range.
One large risk: "We have had 51 of our men killed in two years," said Peter Howatt, a supports services supervisor.
One possible perk: A night in a palace -- that of former Iraqi leader...
