Thai firm vows to double stars' incomes.

Oct. 19--Local celebrities are being offered a new choice by Administration and Management of Thai Artists Rights Co (Amtar), a venture established to oversee copyrights and image rights management.

The firm is guaranteeing that artists who sign up will earn twice the income they normally would under their current representation.

Local stars such as Mayurachat Muenprasitthivej and lawyer Paiboon Amornpinyokeat hold a combined 51 percent stake in the company's 50 million baht in registered capital, with Singapore-based Bainbridge & McClean holding the rest.
