EPA officials discuss air quality facts at public meeting in Beaumont, Texas.

Oct. 20--BEAUMONT, Texas -- Toxins emitted by Southeast Texas industry and additional facts about air quality were discussed by environmental experts at a Tuesday meeting.

Held at Lamar University, it was the third and final meeting scheduled to inform the public about the issue.

The meetings were organized as part of a settlement agreement between industry and residents involved in a lawsuit over the region's 1996 air quality reclassification, said George Talbert, Texas Air Research Center at Lamar University director.
