Nevada Power to name new plant after former chief executive.

Oct. 22--Nevada Power Co. recognized former Chief Executive Officer Charles Lenzie on Thursday by naming its next power plant for him.

While about 150 company officials and workers gathered to honor Lenzie, Fluor Enterprises, the construction company on the power plant project, was conducting an inventory of parts at the site 20 miles north of Las Vegas.

Duke Energy was building the plant, formerly known as the Moapa Energy Facility, but it discontinued work when wholesale power prices declined.
