Trader Publishing's online efforts grow into empire.

Oct. 24--NORFOLK, Va. -- The recent start-up of AutoMart.com - Trader Publishing Co.'s newest Web site - says a lot about how quickly Trader's online division is growing.
Green-lighted about 100 days ago, the site went live Oct. 2, listing about 850,000 used cars for sale at dealers around the country. Already, 30 people at Trader Electronic Media are working on the start-up.
"We've created 30 new jobs in the company that didn't exist 100 days ago," said Peter M. Ill, vice president and general manager of Trader Electronic Media.
