Marquette University teams with Medical College on venture-capital 'cafe'.

Oct. 25--Marquette University today will sponsor a venture capital networking event, the first in a monthly series of venture cafes that the university and the Medical College of Wisconsin hope will get area researchers, businesspeople and potential investors talking about starting high-tech companies.
"Milwaukee has never been particularly known as a Silicon Valley-type breeding ground for entrepreneurs," said Charles Mulcahy, a shareholder with the Milwaukee law practice Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek S.C. who is chairman of the Medical College of Wisconsin Foundation's strategic planning committee.
