Fast Retailing gives Uniqlo brand clothing to Japan earthquake victims.

Oct. 26--NAGANO, Japan -- Fast Retailing Co. on Tuesday gave its Uniqlo brand clothing worth some 100 million yen to the Nagano prefectural government to help victims of a series of deadly earthquakes in neighboring Niigata Prefecture.

The 44,000 clothes, which include 10,000 coats, 10,000 fleeces and 4,000 items of underwear for children will be delivered to the victims by Nagano prefectural government officials.

Fast Retailing's contribution came in response to a request from Nagano Gov. Yasuo Tanaka, who had asked Niigata Gov. Hirohiko Izumida how Nagano Prefecture could help, the Nagano prefectural government said.
