IBM creates security tracking index for computer networks.

Oct. 26--IBM announced Monday a new service that tracks threats to computer networks, providing customers an early warning system against viruses, worms and malicious hackers. Workers at the company's corporate campus in Boulder will gather and analyze the data.
The service, dubbed "The Global Business Security Index," will provide daily and monthly reports to private, corporate, government and academic entities that use the Internet or other information technology systems. The service will cost about $10,000 a year, IBM executives said.
