CNBC opens store in Raleigh, N.C., airport.

Oct. 27--Raleigh-Durham International Airport is entering the big leagues of newsstands with a new CNBC store.
Today, the cable news station opens its first area store in Terminal A. The newsstand will sell newspapers, magazines and CNBC-branded books and videos. A large flat-screen plasma television will be tuned to CNBC Business Day programming. Customers also will be able to visit CNBC's Web site while at the store to check the latest financial news.
"It's really designed for the news junkie," said Mindy Hamlin, an RDU airport spokeswoman.
CNBC signed a deal with Paradies, an Atlanta airport retail firm, to open the stores in 2001. Since then, 35 CNBC...
