Oct. 27--TOKYO -- Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. said Wednesday it will release its new handheld video game system PlayStation Portable on Dec. 12 for the Japanese market.
With high-quality graphics-processing capability and rich stereo sound, PSP users can play full-scale 3D-CG games and view high-resolution video images anytime, anywhere, the company said. A recommended retail price for the product was set at 20,790 yen including tax.
Equipped with a wireless LAN feature, PSP enables users to connect to the Internet through access points, making it possible for them to download game characters and content and also to play games on-line with families, friends and...
