KB Toys could close store in State College, Pa.

Oct. 27--The KB Toys in the Nittany Mall might close under plans announced Tuesday by the company as it tries to emerge from Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
KB Toys Inc. will close between 141 and 238 underperforming stores by Jan. 31, 2005, and the Nittany Mall store is on a list of potential stores to be closed.
"It's up in the air," store manager Bruce Hepler said. "I'm hoping we're not one of them."
He and the other store employees were informed by a district manager Tuesday that the State College store made the list of those that might close. That doesn't mean the store will close, but the decision could be based on sales this holiday...
