Oct. 29--Next time you're trying to rustle up a ticket to a hot playoff game or premier golf tournament, don't call anybody at Kinder Morgan.

"If you see a Kinder Morgan employee at a sporting event, you can be sure he's paying for it," said Richard Kinder, chairman and chief executive of the Houston-based pipeline company. The advocate of shareholder-centered corporate management told a Texas Christian University breakfast audience Thursday that too many U.S. companies have become enamored with the perks of power while slighting employees and shareholders.
