Nov. 4--Susie Metzler, 40, has worked at Leon's Book Store on Higuera Street in downtown San Luis Obispo for 15 years.
Metzler, a manager at the used book store, enjoys retail sales because of the variety of duties she performs each day -- ranging from customer assistance to purchasing books for retail purposes.
She previously worked at the Old Mission Gift Shop in San Luis Obispo, also in retail sales. She plans to continue working in the sales industry.
"I enjoy working with people," she said. "The retail business is about having a sense of humor and being ready for whatever comes up."
