Director may be key in determining future of Prudential boss.

Nov. 5--Rob Rowley, senior independent director of the Prudential, is emerging as the key figure in determining the fate of the insurer's embattled boss Jonathan Bloomer.
Rebel shareholders have lost patience after a series of gaffes by Bloomer, culminating in his recent shock announcement of a 1 billion pounds cash call. Though he is not expected to be ousted immediately, there is a darkening cloud over his long-term future.
City sources said that the investors have made their views plain and have left the ball in Rowley's court.
The fund management houses, believed to include Fidelity and Legal & General, are acting individually rather than as a gang....
