Executive has withdrawn 395 million yen illegally, says Cosmo Oil Co.

Nov. 9--TOKYO -- Cosmo Oil Co. said Tuesday that an executive working for a company commissioned to handle its credit card business has taken out a total of about 395 million yen in loans from cash dispensers by illegally using the oil company's credit cards over the last nine years.
Cosmo Oil said it is planning to file a criminal complaint against the 48-year-old executive in connection with the case, adding that the withdrawals have caused no real damage to cardholders.
The executive withdrew the money by rewriting pin numbers or account numbers of as many as 1,982 credit cards after they were returned to his workplace due to unknown addresses or other reasons,...
