EDS asks to delay earnings report.

Nov. 10--Electronic Data Systems Corp., still haggling with its auditor, asked for a deadline extension Tuesday for its quarterly earnings report.
Plano-based EDS had signaled last week that it might request the five-day reprieve from the Securities and Exchange Commission. The computer services company did not expect any objection from the SEC.
EDS and auditor KPMG LLP have been debating how much the company should write down the value of assets in its giant contract with the U.S. Navy.
The disagreement caused EDS to delay its third-quarter earnings report on Oct. 25 and again on Nov. 3.
