Bacardi names British executive to lead U.S. unit.

Nov. 11--Bacardi has tapped British executive Stella David to head its U.S. subsidiary and plans for her to eventually direct the rum giant's entire North American operation.
The promotion makes David one of Bacardi's most influential female executives, said Bacardi spokeswoman Pat Neal.
David is managing director of Bacardi-Martini UK and Bacardi Netherlands. Under her leadership, Bacardi-Martini UK was named this year as No. 5 in the Sunday Times of London's list of 100 Best Companies to Work For.
