Nov. 12--Comcast, we read the other day, is jumping into the ticket business.

Its Comcast-Spectacor unit -- the folks who bring you the Sixers and Flyers (well, maybe just the Sixers this year) is planning to cut its ties to Ticketmaster, the industry's 800-pound gorilla, in 2006.

After that, Comcast will go mano-a-mano with its former supplier for a share of the $15 billion ticket market.

Another story, meanwhile, revealed that things are jumping on Wall Street. As in jumping ship.
