Orange County, Fla., tourist-tax revenue rebound won't fund Orlando NBA arena.

Nov. 12--Orange County's tourist-tax revenue has rebounded to record levels, and the Orlando Magic still want money for a new arena.
However, the county's top financial watchdog wants to bank the extra cash, at least for now.
Comptroller Martha Haynie said Thursday that Orange County needs a large nest egg while it pays off more than $1 billion in debt the county accrued to build its sprawling convention center.
"This gives us a bigger safety net," Haynie said. "This is not the time to start looking for new projects."
