Thai credit card issuer hopes to clarify status at CEO Forum next month.

Nov. 15--Thailand Privilege Card (tpc), the state-owned entity that runs the Elite Card business, hopes to use the CEO forum scheduled for Bangkok next month as a stage to regain confidence among cardholders, many of whom have sought to clarify the status of their cards amid a spate of bad publicity.

In spite of their anxiety, half of the cardholders responded to invitations issued by Activ, one of the card's sale agents, saying they "might" attend the forum on Dec 1-2. For one thing, they won't have to pay the US$2,380 registration fee and their guests will receive 50 percent discounts.
