Health system starts countdown on opening new hospital in Clark County, Wash.

Nov. 15--After nearly two years of community wrangling and more than 18 months of construction, Legacy Health System has begun a 10-month countdown to the opening of its new Salmon Creek Hospital and medical office complex next August.

The 220-bed facility employing about 715 people will be Washington's first new hospital in 25 years and promises to change Clark County's health care industry just as its massive structures are altering the Salmon Creek horizon.
