South Dakota search-and-rescue team seek volunteers.

Nov. 14--Hugs are just as good as money.
Or so say the members of 911*SAR -- an all-volunteer, non-profit local search and rescue team.
Jim Hanley of Cresbard, Tami Bulik of Lakota, N.D., and Kristine Johnson of Aberdeen are founding members of the team which uses dogs for ground search and rescue as well as a variety of recovery missions.
The team formed earlier this year and considers the Aberdeen area to be its base, though it covers South Dakota, North Dakota, Montana, Minnesota and Nebraska. If needed, team members say they would go anywhere.
"If there was a national emergency in Florida, we'd go," Hanley said.
