Omaha, Neb., companies make Inc. magazine's list of fastest growing.

Nov. 16--Three Omaha companies are on Inc. magazine's list of the 500 fastest-growing companies in the country.

C&A Industries ranked 257th, dropping from 95th last year. FirstComp Insurance was 455th and Trancentrix 480th.

Rankings are made by average annual percentage of growth over a five-year period. Companies, which nominate themselves for the competition, must be privately owned and have revenue of at least $200,000 in the base year and at least $2 million in net sales in 2003.

C&A's average growth was 143 percent and its 2003 revenue was $186.1 million. It has made the list four consecutive years.
