Dean revives University of Missouri School of Medicine.

Nov. 13--Bill Crist is nothing if not a salesman. As dean of the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine, it's his job to attract faculty and funding, and observers say he does it better than any dean before him.
"He's probably been the most successful dean I've seen in my 30 years I've been here," said Kirt Nichols, chief of staff at University Hospital and vice chairman of the Department of Surgery.
What makes Crist so effective is an electric combination of people skills, native son dedication and the belief that what he's fighting for is worth it.
