Nov. 17--Should you have the right to fast-forward?
To children of the VCR and computer age, that may seem like a no-brainer. The ability to choose what you watch or listen to -- and to bypass anything you don't want to see or hear -- seems as basic as clicking your mouse or remote control.
But if it's a right, it's one that has been chipped away at in recent years. And it's under fire during the lame-duck session of Congress, according to a coalition of organizations raising alarms over a bill known as the Intellectual Property Protection Act of 2004.
