New venture vying for nuclear support contract in Oak Ridge, Tenn.

Nov. 17--OAK RIDGE, Tenn. -- Two companies from Colorado have partnered to form a new venture to compete for the information technology support service contract at the U.S. Department of Energy's Oak Ridge Reservation facilities.

The creation of NuTec Solutions Group LLC was announced Tuesday.

Joining forces to create NuTec are CH2M Hill of Denver and SofTec Solutions of Englewood, Colo.

Contract proposals are due Dec. 10, and the five-year pact is valued at about $150 million. Science Applications International Corp. has the current contract.
