Milwaukee-based hospital system's reorganization costs about 12 jobs.

Nov. 19--Covenant Healthcare System has cut about a dozen positions, including a senior executive, as part of a reorganization expected to save $1 million a year.

Dean Kaster, senior vice president of business development, will leave at the end of the year, Covenant spokeswoman Anne Ballentine said.

Covenant is reorganizing, giving more responsibility to presidents of the system's St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, St. Francis, St. Michael and Elmbrook Memorial hospitals.

"The plan makes hospital presidents responsible for the entire geographic area instead of just their hospitals," Ballentine said.
