India lags in domestic deployment of IT.

Dec. 1--PUNE, India -- This is the paradox of India's IT success: it has brought the country international recognition as an IT super-power, but the country has lagged in the domestic deployment of IT. The country's IT investment is below that of Egypt and Sri Lanka and just above that of Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Seeking to address this paradox, Microsoft (India) and Nasscom have studied the impact of using IT for productive gains. The report will be made public in January by Nasscom, but the conclusion is that there is an under-investment in domestic deployment of IT.
