Dec. 2--A Denver meeting planning company that once boasted $55 million in annual sales and 100 employees has closed after 23 years.

"We were very proud of the company. Closing is such a disturbing thing," said Van Nicholson, founder of the family-owned company, TG Worldwide Meetings and Incentives Inc., 717 17th St.

Nicholson said Wednesday the company is in the process of filing for Chapter 7 liquidation.
