Health insurer CIGNA's artwork pulls in $5.24 million at auction.

Dec. 3--CIGNA Corp.'s plan to sell about 200 artworks got off to a booming start this week as 29 paintings were auctioned through Sotheby's for a total of $5.24 million, with many selling for more than expected.
Some of the works brought nearly two or three times the estimated prices.
The CIGNA-owned works in Wednesday's auctions in New York were by such artists as Albert Bierstadt, Jasper Cropsey, Edward Redfield and Marsden Hartley.
The piece owned by CIGNA that fetched the highest price was Hartley's "Winding Road" landscape, which sold for $904,000, including Sotheby's fee. Art experts had estimated that the painting would sell for $300,000...
