Dec. 4--THE CALIFORNIA PUBLIC EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT SYSTEM has appointed Jarvio A. Grevious as its deputy executive officer for benefits administration. Grevious assumes the post vacated by Loren D. Suter, who retired.
In his new job, Grevious will oversee CalPERS programs for retirement and health benefits, reporting directly to Fred Buenrostro, chief executive officer of the 1.2-million-member pension fund.
Grevious previously served as assistant executive officer for health benefits, a position Terri Wesbrook will fill on an acting basis.
