Northwest Airline commuter flights to Detroit to put Latrobe, Pa. on map.

Dec. 7--LATROBE, Pa. -- After months of eerie quiet, the whine and roar of commercial jet engines will echo again in the corridors of Arnold Palmer Regional Airport in April, when Northwest Airlines launches commuter service, filling the void US Airways left in July when it pulled the plug on its Latrobe-Pittsburgh shuttle.
"There's a lot of smiles walking round these hallways," said airport manager Gabe Monzo.
