Dec. 7--A generation bored by conventional television and movies is expected to be a lucrative market for Prompt Resources & Services Co, the producer of a new line of entertainment VCDs.

With its plan to distribute 100,000 free copies of an alternative mini-series titled Tan and Tun, the company expects to create a new sensation among the 18- to 25-year-old audience group, according to Piyamitr Rangsitienchai, Prompt's chief executive.

If all goes well, the venture will also make money through sales of commercial sponsorships on the discs, as advertisers too are becoming aware that their messages in mainstream media are not reaching some young consumers...
