Dec. 6--Tired of paying storage fees on her trove of children's books, Diane Coats of Springfield decided to unload her collection Saturday.
About 600 books stored in a dozen 10-gallon Rubbermaid totes, to be precise.
Coats, a former representative with a children's book company, was among the hundreds of people selling their used books to representatives of Powell's Books.
She downsized her considerable accumulation and collected a check for $88.
