Bush asks Treasury Secretary Snow to stay on.

Dec. 9--Just days after the Washington rumor mill had John Snow leaving his job as Treasury secretary, President Bush yesterday said Snow was staying on.
"The president asked Secretary Snow to continue serving in his second term, and the president is pleased Secretary Snow agreed to continue his service," said White House spokesman Scott McClellan.
Press reports over the past week had suggested that Bush was unhappy with Snow and was looking for someone with greater stature to advance his economic agenda, especially the privatization of Social Security and tax reform.
