Northern Indiana Public Service's gas prices in winter climb.

Dec. 11--Northern Indiana Public Service Co. customers will see natural gas prices increase about 2 percent this month, with a typical customer using 150 therms of natural gas seeing about a $3.10 increase.

The prediction is in line with a NIPSCO forecast made in late October that gas prices would increase about 10 percent to 15 percent this winter.

The increase has been approved as a gas cost adjustment by the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission. Gas cost adjustments are made on a month-to-month basis to reflect changes in the price of gas on the wholesale market.
