Dec. 10--NEW DELHI, India -- It's happened at last. US President George W Bush has signed the Omnibus Appropriations Bill 2005 into law -- Consolidated Appropriations Act 2005.
So what we have is 20,000 extra H-1B visas before the new fiscal begins in October '05, a somewhat tighter L-1 programme, a more expensive filing fee for H-1B visas, anti-fraud fee for H-1B and L-1 petitions, and the promise of 100 percent prevailing wage for H-1B workers.
