North Dakota governor puts funds for new bank building in budget.

Dec. 12--The nation's only state-owned bank could someday get a new home if the Legislature agrees with Gov. John Hoeven that the old building needs to be replaced.

Hoeven included $11 million for a new Bank of North Dakota building in his 2005-07 budget that he presented to the Legislature on Wednesday.

Eric Hardmeyer, president of the bank, said the building, located at 700 E. Main Ave., is nearly 90 years old.
