Makers of medical devices get more venture capital in Texas, Dallas area.

Dec. 14--Venture capital investors may not have foolproof judgment -- heard from Webvan lately? -- but where they park their money is still a good indicator of which industries are likely to grow over the next few years.
In Texas, the bulk of venture funding is still going to stalwarts such as software, telecommunications and semiconductors.
But medical device companies are starting to claim a larger share of the venture capital pie in Texas and the Dallas area.
